What is Fynchnest? How can it help every EFynch Homeowner?

When a Real Estate Agent refers a contractor in Maryland, they actually take on liability and if it turns out the person they recommended is not as "licensed and insured" as they claim, the Agent could be help personally accountable.

This is where the Fynchnest was born.  Last year we spent a few months working with Long and Foster officials in Chantilly, Virginia. The goal was to develop a system n which their Agents would be able to decipher "marketing info" from solid facts.

After working through the details and speaking with multiple experts, we came up with something great! (and it's only the start).

Any EFynch home owner or buyer in the Baltimore Area can use it.

The Fynchnest is a special designation on the Handyman's profile (pictured below). When you see that, the person has gone through a rigorous background check (the kind that actually performs what the ads on tv claim they do).

1. We have a professional, 3rd party research group perform a Maryland Background Check.
2. We run that information through the Maryland and FBI Sex Offender Registry.
3. We visit the Maryland Home Improvement Website and verify license information.
3. We take screen images of everything above and post it to their profile with links so you can double check our work.

BUT. .  . It doesn't stop there!

4. We obtain a copy of their driver's license for our records to verify identity.
5. We request a selfie (on demand) to cross check that picture with the license.
6. We obtain copies of their business and car insurance to keep on record. Making notes on their profile to show it is on file.
7. We allow them to bid on "Fynchnest" projects and take part in our exclusive rating system. When you see a Fynchnest contractor with a rating, rest assure, that rating is NOT something paid for or made by a biased resource (like a brother or wife). Our ratings are true, and can only be made by verified purchasers without any relation to the Pro.

So, the next time you post a job, consider posting in the Fynchnest Category or pay special attention to handymen that have the Fynchnest Logo on their profiles.  Remember, these guys have agrees to hold themselves to the highest of standards and we have verified their identity and made sure their records are clear of any criminal activity.
